That ppl get annoyd with not getting responses? Some guys apply to one guild only, they find guilds that match their goals and fin one they have a bit experience with their players. Hope for the best and do what they can on their apply and ingame chat to get a good chance to get in.
That he just gave up, is more that he don't wanna waste time waiting, so he search for another guild instead.

He waited over 1 week. That is pretty long if you ask me.
